Him is adictive. i have been listening for about a week and find myself randomly going back for more. am i not alone here?
You're probably alone here because nobody is going to search for topics if they're put in the wrong forums.
I was supposed to see them yesterday. But my parents decided I couldn't go because I "didn't hand in a 10 point assingment." I had the ticket for a month.
I saw them live awhile back. Let's just say it would have been alright if the singer wasn't quite so drunk, if the guitars and drums weren't so much louder than the drums and vocals, if the crowd wasn't quite so obnoxious, if the opening bands weren't quite so shitty...
Meh HIM are all right. I like the Wicked Game cover. Some of the other songs on Razorblade Romance (the US version) are fine, some are terrible IMO.
HIM is awesome. I guess you're more apt to like a band if their music is in something you like. And I watch the hell out of the CKY movies, so yeah...
HIM are great... But I like there older stuff a lot more than their new album cuz you can see a lot more gothic influences in their older stuff... (I mean albums like "Greatest Love Songs Vol. 666" or "Razorblade Romance")... In Germany, they are very popular since the early 00's and they had some big hits out here... It's great to see that they're getting more and more famous in the States too... But I really think that their new album sounds a lot different from what they did before so I'd definitely recommend you to check out some of their old stuff too, especially if you love gothic influences...
I agree. One of my problems with HIM is that every song is either about love, death, or love and death. They even have a song called Death Is In Love With Us.
They have their decent songs, but a lot of the instrumentation is repetitive and I find Ville Valo to be really obnoxious, in interviews anyway.
