Less than 200,000. It takes a LOT to sell lots of albums now-a-days.

Lil Wayne sold almost 1 mil first week and everyone hates his album and thinks he is a clown and sucks

Hopefully LP can atleast do as good as last album which was around 250k

but, if you're already buying 4 copies, as you've told, the bill doesn't fit.

Apparently not if it sold 1 million. Lil Wayne is one of the biggest artists in the country (or at least was in 2010/2011). Just because you can find a ton of people that dislike him doesn't mean anything.

The quality of the music does not dictate album sales.

I believe that it will sell atleast 300k as BID is looking to be a massive hit based on sales from Itunes. A single from LP hasn't done this well since ND. Here's to being optimistic.

The last one sold 241k, so I say a little under that in the 230k range. I don't think it will be #1 though because Adam Levine will promote the hell out of Maroon 5's new album on the The Voice.

[h=6]My stand is still this: a little shy of 300k.

Advertisements do not sellout an album, just like how numbers do not win a war. Music is very different from fashion or the new MMORPG game. Fans who buy the Maroon 5 album may very well buy a Linkin Park album, too, and vice versa. Adding to that, no one will buy an album just because it is heavily promoted.

You'd probably pay to have a taste of that new advertised dessert or that new MMORPG but you will not buy a Justin Bieber album if you dislike his music, however heavy it is advertised or liked by your peers.

Music communicates to us in a deeper way than any shit teenage pop stars out there can ever imagine.

I'm going to go with 200k. Although I think Burn It Down is an okay song imo, most of the people I've met recently (outside of the internet :p) are really enjoying it. I should add there are a lot of people who only judged Linkin Park from the sounds of ATS.

ATS outsold Maroon 5's last album "Hands All Over" by roughly 100,000 copies but thanks to Moooves Like Jagggarr, their popularity is through the roof so It'll be a close one. maroon 5 will probably get it, but I sure hope not.

ATS wasn't widely accepted by everyone. For that reason alone, I don't think Living Things will take the #1 spot.

at least with MTM a lot of people still liked it/ or bought it before they listened to it which is why it sold well. ATS, a lot of fans didn't seem to like but ive already heard people getting ready for LT, people who don't talk about LP much and I have a friend who posted that a rumor has it will be like HT/M. I laughed when I read that because its not true but i decided not to tell him that was wrong because if people go around believing that maybe people will buy it without listening to it first unlike ATS and maybe it will sell better
