If you think you're fluent in a language, you should be able to hold a conversation with another person in that language with ease. If you learn another language at school as a second language, (e.g French, Spanish, Chinese, German, etc.) I guess you can count yourself as fluent if your teacher, other students and you speak only that second language during the duration of the entire class. Please list all the languages you speak fluently.
Cool! English is my first language, and the only language I consider myself fluent in. I can speak pretty good Chinese, but I can't read or right for shit. No offense, but Chinese characters all look like chicken scratches to me. I quit Chinese 2 years ago and switched to French. My French isn't that great.
Spanish (which is my first language since I'm mexican) and English. I must say I really love English. Everyone thinks I'm crazy cuz my cell phone's language's in english and also cuz I like to speak it all the time. In my opinion, there's some things you can express in english which don't have an exact translation. I know my english isn't perfect, but wtf? thanks to it, I knew cool and different ppl great thread, by the way
Like...Star Trek...? I actually spoke Sindarin Elvish (Yes, from Lord Of The Rings) for awhile, but then I kind of let myeslf forget it because it was pointless.
