It seems that almost all my favorite bands are from Finland. I LOVE H.I.M, Nightwish, The 69 Eyes, Overhead, The Rasmus, Apocalyptica, Children of Bodom, and Holochaust. I can't be alone in this. Finnish bands ultimately kick ass. I'm actually trying to con my mom into letting me go see the Nightwish/Apocalyptica concert soon. I can't be alone in this...

Children of bodom are the best death metal band to come out of Europe for a loooooooooooooooooong time. Let alone Finland. As for Apocalyptica, they're cool.
I was about to say I didn't know any Finnish bands other than The Rasmus and HIM, but then I saw Vani's post and remembered CoB. I wouldn't say that they're the best European band to emerge for as long as that. I mean, it's only been seven years since Refused (who are Swedish, by the way) split up. Oh, and Rammstein are German.
There are a few good Finnish bands! I'll grant that. Nightwish, very Evanescence-like; the same concept really. Should be said Evanescence are very Nightwish-like, because the Finnish band came first.
