    Will the grass always be greener on the other side?

    It'll be a fear of mine that I'll never know.

    But I'll set my flowers down in hopes for you.



    You know,

    I never thought you'd have that look on your face.

    Stone-cold and still.



    The air was inert, the world we knew wasn't today.

    Oh, oh.

    Of all the things that we commiserated together, alone.

    If you only believed it wasn't your fault.



    Remember the moonlight, and all those talks.

    Our little get-away, where the pain just fades.

    Our soul were like a hidden pond, in the open air.



    The sound echoes in my head, a little secret we shared.

    I wish you knew how much I did care.

    When I bought you that loaded metal barrel.



    A secret I knew, a wish that was new.

    A reason to stay, a river to flow with.

    A future in this place, something you didn't have here.



    There's all but a silent prayer, up in the air.

    And I admire the stars so tragically.

    Knowing that I let you find your place among them,

    knowing that I can't gaze at them with

    "Commiserated" didn't fit in that setence and disrupted the entire flow of the poem for me. :(
