I'm surprised that no one has made a thread about this song. Should I even say what my favorite part of it was:

"Like an army falling one by one, by one."

Your favorite part, and you don't even know the lyrics.

"Like an army falling one by one by one."

    Great song.

Probably my least favorite song on LT tbh. Don't get why this song is rated so high on many lists.

BEST SONG SINCE IN PIECES! and I love In Pieces.

    - intro screams old school LP, with electronic intro followed by uplifting guitars and drums

    - melody of the verses is very catchy and beautiful

    - chorus - classic huge LP chorus in the veins of Numb or In The End

    - the way Mike says "falling" for the first time with shivering voice

    - and when Chester comes in with "like and army..." shit becomes monumental

    - the way Mike's "like an army" blends with "one by one" in the background is just genius...

I wasn't a fan at first, but the song has grown on me already. Really digging the verse melody, the bridge and the intro. I still think chester voice should have been more agressive in the chorus though.

One of the best of the album. It has everything. I'll never forget the first time I listened to it: it was already great before Mike's part, but when that started my mind exploded.

On my first listen this along with I'll Be Gone were my favorites but I think that was just because they're easily accessible rock songs, now that the album has sunk in for me though I prefer the more experimental and deep songs like Roads Untraveled and Castle of Glass.

Never the less this is still a really great song, Chester just kills it on this song and when Mike comes in its so haunting.

Average until "Like an army, falling one by one, by one"; where it becomes great. I wasn't a fan of Mike's singing on the previous albums but he really stepped up his vocals for LT. I agree with the reviewer who said it's an anthem for the end of days and I think it should be included on the soundtrack of the next Hunger Games movie, Catching Fire. With LP aligning with so many movies and video games; I wouldn't count it out.

It's my favourite off the album too. Brilliantly written, Chesters beautiful voice with Mike topping it off at the end. Fantastic!

"Wash away the worst of me" is my favourite lyric and obviously the lyrics in the bridge are great too.

I can't wait to hear this song LIVE!!

This song and I'LL BE GONE are very similar for me, but thats no problem because they are absolutely amazing, classic MTM feel with the ATS electronic beat

I love this song, gang vocals at the end are brilliant and get stuck in my head a lot.

One of my heavy favorites from the album, and definitely one I need to hear live in a huge stadium full of crazy Linkin Park fans. I really think it's the one child in the family (album) that seems to be overlooked by many listeners and fans (I'm not saying the rest of Living Things is overrated, but IMR definitely has tons of qualities to be admired, in my eyes). Chester's soaring and uplifting vocals (seriously, this might be the most positive Linkin Park song yet), the MTM-ATS hybrid sound that accompanies the song, and of course, my favorite part of the song: Mike's soft but encouraging "Like an army, falling, one by one by one..." being then followed up by the epic gang vocals of "LIKE AN ARMY, FALLING, ONE BY ONE BY ONE!"

An amazing climax (I know it's a bridge, but it felt like it was a climax.) for an amazing song, in my opinion. :D

This is one my favorites simply due to the bridge. When I first heard that, I couldn't help but go "Oh yeah. This album is gonna be good."

Proof that LP can still write a perfect, catchy-as-fuck chorus, which was always one of their strenghts.

One of my personal favorites from the album.

I'm shocked that no one has mentioned that baseline during the verses. :dafuq:

I actually have grown fond of the song - but I still have some issues with it: (1) The opening sounds like "BURN IT DOWN," so the two openings are similar (if you notice the chord progression) and (2) It's like "The Catalyst" but half the length, so I feel like it's potential to be absolutely incredible is gutted by its length. It's still good, though. I like it. Probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite off of LIVING THINGS‚Äč.
