Mr. Hahn thanks you! lol
looks good in HD..
I've decided that my favorite part of the vid is when Brad finishes whatever's in his cup and he's just like "Well, it's empty now"
Any chance there might be a non-transformer edit, like New Divide?
New Divide has a non-transformer edit?
After viewing HD:
HD, MUCH MUCH BETTER!!! I really dig it now.
Any chance there'll be a colorful version, not that b/w isn't cool
You know.. Mike is hot. Chester is hot. But I don't see any point. I don't know.. I'm like, this is new to me.
The problem with a non-Transformers edit is that you'd still be left with all the pretentious Biblical imagery.
At least it would have some sort of consistency
Yep, there's a "band version" we have screens of it in our gallery. It's not really different except it has more band shots.
A version without product placement must be leagues different. >_>
Here's the alternate version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLY6K237mHw
An edit without transformers could do wonders for this video. I'd be interested in seeing one.
yay "contains ... - not available in your country" ... -.-
-> using proxy from the us = can watch it perfectly
A lot of esoteric symbolism. Probably their best ATS Video, besides 'The Catalyst'.
I didn't think much of it. The Transformers feel awkward and neutered the more rustic, post-apoc attitude Hahn's gunning for, and the symbolism feels cobbled together. The snake, the supper, the miniature fight. It offers the presumption of meaning, but not meaning itself. Then again, I don't think I'm a fan of Hahn's concepts and directorial style. His efforts at sincere emotion tend to consist of distraught women looking into mirrors ("Breaking the Habit," "Crawling," "Burning in the Skies"), his "fun" images are limited mostly to robots, and his symbols (like the dream images here and in "Somewhere I Belong") don't mean anything in the song's context. However, I thought his other videos for ATS were a step up in regard to their simplicity and loose narrative (pre-nuke "BitS," immediate nuke "WftE," and post-nuke "Catalyst").
out of the box.. go figure. I like it though.
