Julien-K: Death to Analog

So, now that it is leaked, how are you guys finding it? I've been waiting for so long for this, since PR back in 07. Still taking it in, so I'll post some thoughts later.

 

I am liking it, a lot.

I still stand by this. I like it a lot, but it's not very relevant.

 

As a whole, I do not like the album. I just don't find it appealing. BUT...I do like a few tracks:

01. Forever
02. Maestro
03. Stranded
04. Kick The Bass
*05. Systeme De Sexe

(*hate the song but an honorable mention for the lulz factor!)

The rest of the tracks just don't do it for me at all.

 

So far I only really like Kick The Bass.

Reminds me of 'Get Down, Make Love' by NIN.

Cept Get Down is much more extreme.

 

Closer doesn't have orgasm noises though.

 

Best album I've heard so far this year. It was worth the 3 year wait.

 

As I've said before, I'll probably listen to this at some point but I'd be surprised if I like it a great deal, if the earlier songs are anything to go by. Not really my kind of music.

 

Meh. I've never been impressed by Julien-K, personally. I've followed them since they started but they just never did anything for me. I think the album is OK, but nothing great by any means. I don't think it'll do too much, commercially.

 

The album feels like a kick-back to the 90's. By far a very good thing.

I hope more people take notice of this album.

 

I think the album's decent, I like the heavier songs (Death to Analog and Technical Difficulties), and I think they owe it to themselves to release Forever as a single, that song has HUGE potential to be a hit in my opinion.

I also think a few of the songs come across better live than on the album, such as Look at U and Spiral.

 

so after listening to the whole entire album all away through the only songs i really like are Death to Analog,Kick The Bass, Techincal Difficulties.Maestro,Forever, and Look At U..it was ok....i still have to buy it tho

 

That's what I thought when I first heard it, it seems to be a lot better live.

 

They are a great live band but I think most bands who are making this style of music are better live. Their energy and performance doesn't translate well onto albums. I think this album is good for what it is, but I do think the songs were much better live. I also feel this way about Innerpartysystem but I love both bands.

 

I've listened to it a few times and I really like it. It's more of a fun album, like some music is meant to be taken seriously, and some music was made to move and have fun with. That's what this is. The kind of, blast it with the bass on high in your car with the windows music. I did that today and it's just great. PLUS I took a listen in my new headphones that I got...Well....stole from the music studio at school...but symantics, fuck them. Good album is good.
