Julien-K's Death to Analog: March 10th

Julien-K's long-delayed debut album Death to Analog will be released on March 10th via Metropolis Records. The album is executive produced by Linkin Park's Chester Bennington. In addition, the limited edition of the album comes with a bonus disc of remixes, entitled Death to Digital, which includes a remix of the song "Death to Analog" by Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda.

Some of us have been waiting for a lot longer than that, the album was announced in 2005.

I think the limited edition is a damn good deal, a second CD with 11 more tracks for just $2 more? Yes please.

 

Not to mention the remixes are by some pretty well-known artists for the most part. Deadmau5, Mike Shinoda, She Wants Revenge, Paul Oakenfold, Combichrist, and Photek.

I think I'm the only one who wasn't looking forward to this. Still, it's good they're finally getting it out.

Nah, I wasn't either. I'll listen to it out of interest but I'll be surprised if I like it that much tbh. Doesn't really seem like my kind of music.

I can't remember, but is the official track listing the same as that rumored to be list that was inked out by one of the members?

Are all the tracks they promoted touring going to be on it? I've been out of the Julien K loop for a while, so I'm just hoping all the cool songs they played live make the album.

 

Yeah, everything they've been playing live will be on there. The track listing is identical to the one that's been floating around for a while, save for the song order being slightly altered and the addition of Futura to the album. The "DTA Mix" of Futura is a studio recording of the version they've been playing live, the original version was a bit different (it was a collaboration between Julien-K and some other group, I forget who).
