Love him returning to music, not sure how I feel about the song. I really like the way Justin writes, because he writes pop music, but he...doesn't. A lot of his songs are written in movements and are really creatively put together. But I don't like how closely he works with Timbaland. Timbaland's production has nothing new to offer anymore and it hurts the music.
hmm, you're the firts person I have heard said that, at least about this song. yes, timba has fallen off but this is classic timba production tbh. reallly good I think
I still don't get why Timberlake is revered as some kind of music god. Is everyone trolling, or am I missing something? In my opinion he's just another pop star, and honestly, the first 40 seconds of "Suit and Tie" are the worst i've ever heard. I'm not saying he's THAT bad, he's a good musician, but he's not, well, the best thing ever!
You're only 14. You weren't there when he was the master at pop. I much prefer Timbaland's "old school" production over the dance tracks we are getting today, even though a lot of them are good.
I had this whole speech about how Justin Timberlake is such a badass, but then I found a video that better illustrates it.
I'm listening now. I think it's great he's back to music. He really has incredible songs. ''What Goes Around... Comes Around'', ''SexyBack'', ''Cry Me A River'', ''My Love''. I like this one. Good stuff.
Its because he is. JT is amazing, and basically the best at what he does. He's had a couple meh songs but never had a bad song and he never takes an L in his music career.
I wasnt a fan of his first cd and his second Cd blew my mind. I used to listen to it quite a bit. Glad hes returned to music. Loving the song. He has a soulful touch on pop music and thats what separates him from his fellow Nsync members. Looking forward to this CD. Much better than S&T.
FutureSexLoveSounds is one of my favourite pop albums, but I am not liking any of the new tracks much. Hopefully the album won't disappoint.
I was and I'm glad those times are gone lol He's for sure a skilled musician, but his musical universe just doesn't do it for me. I didn't like the new song either. That said, Kacy video was pretty awesome.
The album is streaming in full now on iTunes: https://twitter.com/jtimberlake/status/311225439152648193 Edit: After my first listen, I'm liking Don't Hold the Wall, Tunnel Vision, Let the Groove Get In and Blue Ocean Floor a lot. Mirrors is great too. Suit & Tie is the weakest song on the album for me by far.
1. Let The Groove Get In 2. Blue Ocean Floor 3. Mirrors 4. Don't Hold The Wall The best songs, imo. The first two I can easily swap around.
That's kind of an odd statement because the whole "music in movements" is because of Timbo and Danja's production. They say he's like Jay-Z, he comes in and writes lyrics on the fly without writing it down. But if you're referencing the last disc and how some songs are like two songs in one, that's all Timbo/Danja. I agree this song is kind of stock for Timbo nowadays though. I can tell this disc will not be better than the last.
My thoughts: Solid album. Way too long. I appreciate them trying to do the beat changeups like FS/LS but they were far less interesting, making each song feel ungodly long. I like Pusher Love Girl (it really needs to be shortened), Tunnel Vision, Let the Groove Get In and Mirrors the most.
I thought the album was very good. I don't think it was really meant to hear from start to finish but my favorites are Tunnel Vision, Let The Groove Get In, and Pusher Love Girl.
Digging the album quite a bit. I don't get the Suit and Tie hate... that's probably one of my favorite songs from the album. The groove is infectious!
