So yeah, Andrea may be shocked that I'm the one creating this thread...but how many people on here have followed his solo career and actually appreciate it?

I may joke around with Andrea but truth is I'm actually a closet Timberlake fan. I didn't really feel his music from Nsync but as a solo musician he created some pretty good stuff. While Justified was still in the vein of Nsync, his new album features him performing in front of an actual backup band which I consider to be really awesome.

Then he pursues acting and actually does rather well in the trailer I've seen. So yeah, how many people (especially guys) on this forum support Justin?

i dont own any of his albums - but i've only heard good things about his new effort. i agree with you derek, 'justified' definately had an air of nsync about it (well from the songs i've heard from it)

i dont think i'll get a copy of his new disc though, still not really my cup of tea. but it has to be a high five for him, for moving his music forwards with his new album :)

I think the singles from his new album are pretty bad, to be honest. I liked the ones from Justified more.

    I agree.
However, I like "My Love" and "Lovestoned" (I don't know if that's a single) off the new record.

Justin Timberlake isn't too bad. Probably 50% of his material I don't really care for, but I really enjoy the other half that I do.

I haven't really listened to his album very much. I did think he was hilarious on Saturday Night Live, though. One of the best episodes I've ever seen.

I've liked him since Nsync's existence back in 1998. Even saw Nsync twice in concert, lol. As for his solo career, I'm just in awe how he branched out from his boy band days. With his Justified album, he had something to prove: Could he make it as a solo artist? That question soon ceased with the smash singles "Like I Love You", "Cry Me A River", "Senorita" and "Rock Your Body". I saw him tour off of that album for the Justified/Stripped tour with Christina Aguilera. Amazing night for sure. For his latest album Futuresex/Lovesounds, he had nothing to prove. He wanted to make a club/dance record and sort of reinvent himself differently this time around. Hence the first single "Sexyback", the raunchiness of it is a complete turn around from his Justified album. And it worked perfectly. The rest of the singles "My Love", "What Goes Around" and the international released single "Lovestoned" are just as catchy as well.

I'm seeing him in concert again in March and I honestly cannot wait. I don't really know what I'm going to be in for, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be nothing like his last tour I went to. This is a more mature/grown up Justin, which I cannot complain about. :shifty::D

So far I've hated every song I've heard from him, and I generally don't mind pop songs.

I have his new album on my player, my brothers think i'm a three-letter word that starts with "G", and such and such.

I still think his new album is catchy as all hell. Guilty pleasure for sure...and this is a man awaiting the new Avril CD

I don't really like his old stuff it's too pop for me. :p But his lasts singles (haven't heard the whole album) are kind of okay.

It's like he's really pushing the pop-genre, he collaborates with other artists and those songs turned out to be different than what I expected.

You won't catch me listening to one of his songs, but I definetely don't hate is music because it are just "simple" pophits, he makes pretty great music for his genre.

I do not think he makes simple pop hits. His singles are watered down sure, but it's kind of respectful to see some guy who i passed off as just another boy band cliche turn into a respectful artist who is pushing the pop genre to try new things. You don't see that often.

Totally agree. He's had quite a career already and if he's a good actor too his career will get even better.

JT is an awesome artist in my opinion.

Not many artists can establish one sound and go to another so quickly and successfully*coughLinkinParkcough*

I was a harcore NSYNC fan when I was about 7... There's no doubt to me that he's talented, although I really dislike the style of music he's singing now.

I thougth Sexyback was a pretty boring song. My Love is ok. Haven't listened to the rest of the album.

He seems more real than most pop artists.

As for his music, can't say I dig it.

lol yeah i'm a closet JT fan. I liked a few songs off Justified and FutureSex/Lovesounds is a really good album for a pop album, I actally listen to it quite abit.

...you know your music taste is messed up when a random shuffle on itunes will go from My Love straight into Crippled and Broken by Kataklysm lol
