Pretty open-minded review actually. Kinda curious about their description of "Halfway Right" being a Broadway number.
They're using this description as something negative about the album, but I'll be honest here: an album that is so interconnected that you can describe it as stated above just makes me more excited to see how it all comes together.
To be honest, this guy sounds like he just isn't a fan of lighter music and prefers hard rock. He didn't go into detail about anything
Papercut isn't that special btw, just sayin'
They gave the album a "KKK" rating. Sounds like racism to me.
Cool, but historically Kerrang tends to be very pro-LP with whatever they do. I don't think they've ever given them less than a 3 before.
Exactly my thoughts, Kerrang probably just wanted to be nice because it's Linkin Park.
I'm curious to hear what my good friends from Ultimate Guitar say about the album.
Ultimate Guitar is one of the most unreliable review site I've ever been in They should stick with tabs
You know, I absolutely love Hybrid Theory and Meteora (although Minutes To Midnight is my favorite record), but I'm not one of those people who expects the band to keep making that kind of music, etc. I understand that they've grown and moved on from it. It's healthy and normal. I don't throw on Hybrid Theory and Meteora and pick it apart, I know the lyrics are immature at times, and the music really isn't mature sounding, I guess, but I listen to it for what it is, because I grew up loving those albums and they were great at the time they came out.
So what I'm saying is, fans should give this album a chance, even if it doesn't sound like Papercut, as quoted from the interview. It's not my cup of tea, but neither have the last 3 albums from the band been. People might actually like it, just go into not expecting Hybrid Theory.
Why is there a thing that says download Talking to Myself hmm
Papercut is awesome for mine. Still sounds fresh unlike some other tracks from Hybrid Theory.
Everything after the bridge is great, yes. but overall it's nothing special. just my opinion and I can't stand HT/M anymore I should say too
For me the best nu-metal song they ever done is clearly PART OF ME, nothing from their first 2 albums can reach it.
