This sounds better than the last one, although Killswitch's cover of Holy Diver was the one. I'll certainly be buying this on Wednesday. Although if Sign fuck up Youth Gone Wild I'll be seriously pissed, that's one of the best songs ever. Same goes for BFMV. I'd never imagine in all my days I'd get to hear Fightstar covering Breaking The Law and Funeral For A Friend covering The Boys Are Back In Town and I sure as hell never thought in a billion lightyears I'd ever hear Lostprophets cover Davidian.
Lostprophets, Fightstar, and FFAF ohhhhh yeeeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhhhh That said, Funeral's cover of 'The Boys Are Back in Town' is pretty good. It's a shame though, I got it as a special download right before Hours came out two years ago. I was hoping for a new cover by them. Haven't heard anything else from this though, definitely worth a listen. And yes, Killswitch Engage singing 'Holy Diver' was super badass.
Apparently Lostprophets have played parts of Holy Wars by Megadeth in radio sessions. I'd rather hear a full studio version of that even though it's very likely it would suck. In fact, they should be the ones covering FNM.
Forgot this was coming out thats for the heads up will have to get it on wednesday, should be interesting to hear if lostprophets can pull off Davidian
Wirelessly Posted (HTCP4350-Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows CE; PPC)) soulfly doing MM, siunds awesome
Just got this and its got some great covers on it, was impressed with the Fightstar cover, wasnt to sure about the Lostprophets cover though might have to listen to it a few more times, either way its not for £2.10
It's weird, how much Max Cavalera sounds like the cookie monster on the Marilyn Manson cover. So after listening to it twice, favourites: 01. Darkest Hour 02. Gallows 03. Funeral For A Friend 04. The Blackout 05. Yourcodenameis:Milo 06. The Automatic 07. Lostprophets 08. Madina Lake 09. Fightstar 10. Bullet For My Valentine 11. Soulfly 12. Aiden 13. BMTH 14. Sign 15. theAUDITION In conclusion, if a pop-punk band are covering Bon Jovi they shouldn't sound like they're taking it seriously.
I listened it, and I'm very surprised about Lostprophet's sound ... I never heard the original song, but it sounded pretty cool. Fightstar version of 'Breking the Law' was very good IMO.
