Am I the only one that doesn't want LP associated with Transformers? o_O

I mean... Iridescent is already a single and I assume there will be a video for it so why make something else?

Transformer movies are fucking awesome. The recent one is in my top 10 movies of all time. And no, it has absolutely nothing to do with Linkin Park.

    Neither do I.

It's already bad we'll probably have a video full of giant robots and explosions for one of the most emotional songs in ATS.

Awesome, glad they're already back in the studio because they love taking their time. I'm predicting a late 2012 or early 2013 release.

Whilst it could purely be hopeful speculation, I think it's a significant possibility that they *could* be in the studio to work on something new for Transformers: Dark Of The Moon. Didn't Chester recently allude to them working on something for the movie? I'll have to dig up the interview but he certainly made it sound that way. The timing is about right too as the film is currently in post-production and the music seems to always be done at about this point in time.

I mean hey, new album would be even better - but I definitely think the above is a possibility.

    EDIT: Here is the interview
    http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers...ong-for-transformers-dark-of-the-moon-171561/

“LPTimes: Are you working on the soundtrack for Transformers: Dark of the Moon?

Chester Bennington: I don’t know if I’m at liberty to tell you yet [winks]. But it looks promising. I think we go hand in hand with those films. A lot of our younger fans call us the Transformers band.”

Well they're not finished touring yet. They might even tour into next year.

Doubt it (& I hope not), considering how far in advance big bands plan World Tours, this break was at least talked about before ATS was even released.

    But I suppose it's possible.

I think they're just writing, getting a jump on the next album.

As much as I really enjoyed the first one, TF2 was a mess.

It would be freakin amazing if they did the following:
    1. She couldn't with some more rapping
    2. Announcement Service Public into a real song
    3. A.06 with rapping and some Chaz screams :)
    4. The beautiful piano and harmonica song in the DVD Meeting of A Thousand Suns.

[Insert generic "Joe Hahn told my friend at our meet and greet in January that Iridescent will be in Transformers 3" post here]

Haha, yes true... Could have just been a bit of misinformation though - If they *were* working on a new song for the film, I doubt they would have been allowed to announce it that far in advance or in that fashion :)

It's not 'already a single', and I doubt, in any case, that its release as a single will coincide with the release of the next "Transformers" movie. I don't think any artist has ever had lead singles on two movie soundtracks during their career. ;"

My mistake, but it's set to be on the transformers soundtrack so I assumed it was going to be a single for the movie.

In any case, it doesn't matter that much. As long as we get new LP, I'm fine. :)

There's no way the band is going to have two music videos with transformers in them. Come on .

Can Linkin Park be in the studio to just write things? Or does this mean they've already got songs planned and ready to create/record???

You're not the only one. In fact, that was one of the elements that set ATS beyond their previous albums for me. Mike and Chester singing together = eargasm!

    Yeah, it's a common mistake, I guess. <.<

They'll come up with ideas on the road and they'll also have new ones as they write and demo things in the studio. There's no telling what they'll keep and what they'll scrap so, whether or not they have ideas prepared when they first hit the studio is no indication of how long they'll take.

I hope they don't associate their name with ANOTHER piece of Michael Bay's shitty franchise. I would love for these to be preliminary album sessions.

I kinda hope if they put rapping on a song it is HT sound. I think thats when mike was at his best or even before HT like the demos.

I know. If they are wasting studio time on another terrible movie, I'm going to wonder what is wrong with the band.
