Linkin Park Back In The Studio

  1. This is my opinion:

I honestly do not care if the instrumentation of Linkin Park is more difficult to play in their next album. Complex music isn't nessesarily better. Of course, it'd be pretty sick if brad could have an awesome solo in one of the songs, but I don't find it nessasary for the guitars/basses to be more upfront.
And by now, I don't view Linkin Park as a "rock" band. As long as the band members can contribute a fair amount to the songs, Ill be happy with it. I don't care if the next album has no guitars at all. Besides, the members don't always stick to their roles.
I loved the balance of the singing in A Thousand Suns. I'd like Mike to rap a little more though. It'd be cool if Joe could have more of a prominent role in the next album, especially with scratching.
As long as the album is unique, meaningful, and different, I'll probably love it. I'm going to have a really open mind on this one.

And a good newsreader, too - would be kind of cool if they could get one of those. >.<

dude, their not gonna be able to do this forever, making music and touring. their gonna get old and have to retire,(which is a sad thing thinking about it)every band does, but as for their music, it would live on forever.

I want them to open the album with an acoustic number. Maybe something a little folky.

They should do a whole album of songs that are softer one way or another. Zero distorted guitars and screaming.

Or just heavy electro, that'd be good too. :)

I feel like maybe Linkin Park will move towards full on trip-hop/industrial music after ATS (which was more up-beat electronic). This is of course a complete guess though.

Someone mentioned acoustic/folk-y stuff: I wonder how Linkin Park's take on Arcade Fire/Mumford and Sons music would sound. Definitely interesting.

I don't really fancy electro but if they mix hip hop rock and part industrial in the pot, electro would be like the icing on the cake.
