i liked it its a chill out track
You'd be surprised. Outside of rock fans, you'd probably be hard pressed to walk up to someone and have them know who those dudes are. They might know the band names but a lot of casual music fans don't really care to memorize who band members are.
So Chester sound basic?? I sorta agree here. And I feel like it's missing another verse, or even a rap bit. I know it's different and they're going in "different directions", but you have a rapper in a band. Let him do the singing he wants to do if they're going the pop direction, but you have an MC. Use that talent. It's what makes Linkin Park, Linkin Park. No matter what direction they go in.
Listened to it twice. Not looking forward to listen again. Same way I felt with Darker than Blood.
For sure this song won't be on my pen-drive playing in my car's radio.
I hope at least they do well on charts.
She appeals to the masses more than Rakim, Tom Morello or Malakian does. If I go out and ask people around my city if they have heard of any of these names, 1/10 will say yes. And that's probably only because of Morello, which on top of everything was on an instrumental. Kiiara is on an complete other level. Being played 10 times a day on the radio surely helps.
Also, keyword in my sentencing was 2017.
In my opinion, SOAD's popular makes Daron more popular by default
Hes at a disadvantage not being the lead singer of a band
Ok, so after the initial hype wore off...
I like the song. It's really catchy and really well produced. Some say overproduced, but I'd take overproduced rather than THP vocal production.
My only real gripe is that I wish there was more Chester. I feel the song is 50/50 between the two vocalists, and I'd have preferred Chester at the helm of the final chorus. Also, I don't find the song to be impressive. When I heard GATS my jaw dropped. When I heard this, I was really excited to vibe to it, but not blown away.
Really a good track though. I look forward to listening more and having it grow on me.
This is adorable.
If I go out and ask people who Kiiara is 0/10 will know her unless it's from this song
This is way below terrible. Pop can be good sometimes but this just sounds like a Justin Bieber reject track.
Okay, this song has definitely grown on me in the past hour haha. Yes, I admit, I've repeated the song for an hour lol.
I think the production is great. The chorus is extremely strong. Kiiara sound wonderful. I will definitely be singing this in my car as I'm driving in LA traffic.
I thought Rob killed it. His drumming is super tight, especially in the bridge.
I also loved Kiiara's harmony in chorus after the bridge when everything comes down.
The one thing I didn't like was Chester's line "I wanna let go but there's comfort in the panic". I don't like how he rushed "I wanna let". I wish he stayed more in the pocket. I don't know, maybe that's just a taste thing. Perhaps not being perfectly in time gives a more emotional performance. But for me it took me out of the experience for a bit.
Kiiara is big but she's still at the stage where people know her voice but not necessarily her name.
Like you can ask some rando if they know Kiiara and they'll be like "who?" But then play a song of hers and then they'll go "OH her!"
People using Bieber insults in 2017 lol.
I highly suggest everyone to go listen to Purpose
I wanna make love to this song
He is so much more than a rapper. According to this logic we should also have some beats and drops since we have a Dj too. Or maybe Mike should just play the keys and Joe should wear a lab coat and a cowboy hat
Yeah, you're probably right. I still think she will bring more success with her than any of the previous features, though.
I'm sad we have to wait until May for the album. So much tease
It's been too long
At least Ed Sheeran will hold me over until then
can someone make a midi for the piano chords i want to remake this song
Without intro, this is taking risk and I liked that. I love Chester's dirty voice, like the messenger
I did not like Kiiara taking the second chorus. She was perfect in the rest, but it would be better if Chester accompanies her in the second verse and second chorus
Separate names with a comma.
