Linkin Park: Live From Madrid DVD to be Released in A Thousand Suns Re-Issue

Previous reports of the live performance from the Puerta de Alcalá in Madrd, Spain being released as a DVD have now been confirmed by Warner Music Mexico, and it will be released as a Limited Edition CD/DVD package of the A Thousand Suns album. The set will include the full album and a separate DVD that will feature 16 tracks from the recorded show.

"Linkin Park will release a limited edition package that contains the album "A Thousand Suns" and a DVD of a show recently performed in Madrid, which was recorded at La Puerta de Alcalá in November.

The live footage from "A Thousand Suns" + DVD includes 16 tracks which shows why Linkin Park is one of the biggest rock bands in the world."

It seems the DVD only lists 16 tracks from the recorded show, emitting The Requiem, Jornada Del Muerto, Wisdom, Justice And Love, The Radiance & Empty Spaces. As these are all interludes they still may very well be featured, but just not listed. It's odd that Fallout is mentioned and the others aren't, but we can at least guarantee Empty Spaces will be there.

Update: linkinpark.com has now verified the existence of this re-release. The CD/DVD set is to be titled "A Thousand Suns +" and will be released in Europe only, March 28th.

Update 2: It seems despite the CD/DVD previously being announced as Europe only with a March 28 release date, it has now been changed to an international release, with Australia and Japan following suit. The Europe release date has also been pushed back almost THREE months. Check out the release dates below:

Australia – April 1
Japan – April 20
Europe – June 6

They should release a DVD with 16 different live versions of WTCFM, oh yeah.

 

Yeah, pretty good deal. If the next single is Iridescent and it picks up some exposure and new fans in the process, this would be the version to get. Maybe they can tag a LPU Membership in with the package? Haha.

Although, the article above was posted by WB Mexico. Hmm...

 

Come on, he's OBVIOUSLY referring to the HDTV rip floating around. He probably isn't up on this release yet. It's only just come to attention. I knew people would be sending us that post since I saw it earlier.
