Despite having Mike Shinoda on hand to announce the 50th annual Grammy nominations this morning, Linkin Park were shut out of all award categories at this year's awards. This included Best Hard Rock Performance (which they won in 2002 for "Crawling"), Best Rock Song, and Best Rock Album. It's been a very successful year for the band, as their lead single "What I've Done" came one week away for breaking a record for consecutive weeks atop the Modern Rock charts and was one of the biggest hits on rock and pop radio for close to half a year. Minutes To Midnight was a critically-acclaimed album for the most part, which makes this snub, especially after being invited to announce the nominations, especially puzzling. Full nominations can be read here.
