Thanks for the review Cookie Monster.I really enjoyed reading it.
Thanks BrandonR24 for the review. Enjoyed reading it.
ITunes m4a is finally out but!...its still censored hahah
you know what? after listening to both versions i don't think it matters, the album is not that explicit anyway, it's like 3 words only in the whole record, i don't even think it's gonna have the parental advisory sticker on it!
I understand that but I like to hear it the way it was made to be heard. The way the artist wrote it. Not censored. You're right it is minor but I love music and am big on hearing it how it was made to be heard that's why I've only listened to it once so far BC I refused to listen to a shit rip
Haven´t heard it yet but I hope I will hear some elements that are connected with Joe, otherwise I might be pretty disappointed :-/
Prepare to be disappointed like never before... there is absolutely no scratching or beats or anything Joe related.
Well...Hahn or not - The album is amazing
I listened to most of the songs today on my MP3 player today and listened to the whole album in a bar this evening.
I am really impressed by the energy they put into the songs and the creativity!
This sounds like a masterpiece!
I'll wait for my copy to arrive. Must not break!!!!
You have great willpower!
I think.... I think I love this album. When I listened to it on Monday, the low quality leaked version, I liked it...but I finally sat down with a great pair of earphones & listened to the iTunes version. I didn't like Mark The Graves & A Line In The Sand at first, but man I love them now. I love every song except Until It's Gone. This is gonna sound cheesy but I'm so proud of this band. Lol
After listening to this album a couple times, I think that this is their best album to date. The nostalgia in some of the tracks is incredible, especially in the interludes. Resembling pre-Hybrid Theory (album) material, this is Linkin Park at their rawest. And it should be like this for a while, without any polishing or over-production.
My only problems with the album are Wastelands and Until It's Gone. They're extremely meteora-esque and really hinder the entire album. I understand that they want to soften some things here and there, but the songs don't sound cohesive. Besides, the lyrics are pretty terrible. However I'll say that I'm pretty happy with A Line in the Sand, as it concludes the album with different elements from different songs. I'd give the first five tracks (including the Summoning) 10/10, War and Until It's Gone 2/10, Rebellion 10/10, and the rest of the album a 9/10.
Although A Thousand Suns is my favourite album by them, they really need to move on from Rick Rubin. They need to either self-produce the future albums, or find someone who will not overpolish or destroy the rawness Linkin Park had before Hybrid Theory. With the exception of the two tracks I mentioned earlier, I feel like their musicality is back into the days before they were signed, despite the sub-par lyrics compared to A Thousand Suns or Minutes to Midnight. Even if they go more electronic, it would be amazing to see a vibe similar to the Hunting Party.
Strange, because usually I'm not into hard rock.
Guys . How is chester in this album ???
Damn, right now I think I would enjoy KTK much more without screaming. Could have been an epic, catchy tune because Mikes parts
are awesome in my book. Thought my copy was damaged the first time I listened to it ^^
got the cd today and daaaaaamn its so fucking good! i give this album a 9.5/10
how's the album quality? much better and clearer?
