So excited for Tinfoil as well. I heard the lyrics on it are actually decent!!
Not really, dude... It's almost like the fans expect them to be some super-awesome lyric writers of epic levels and always are disappointed by what they don't get. I've always said that this band excels at making complex things using not-so-complex methods. The lyrics have not been revealed yet and they are already getting harped on for not being some exuberant caliber be all-end all of lyric writing. I'm looking forward to what is written, but more so how it is written into the songs. I'm a firm believer that if you go into an experience with an already pre-judged notion that it will suck, odds are, you're not going to have a good time.
That was a great read I cannot withstand this much hype
Hmm...great question. Tone wise, in terms of key probably closest to Iridescent/Burning in The Skies but not as 'breathy'.
Those two really from what I remember. He has some obvious backing vocals on some tracks, but those two were the most obvious.
Only guitar from what I was able to hear.
Sad this is what will probably end up happening. Good news is that the album can't be worse than Living Things, so it has that going for it.
tinfoil will be epic
Man, there is an exorbitant amount of bitching on twitter.
What can you tell about the mixing of UIB? Does it sound fine or is there any problem with it?
IM HYPE FAP FAP JUST CAME
Is there any guitar in Until It's Gone? Your description of it makes me think of Powerless. Is it similar to any of those softer ballads like Powerless or Iridescent?
Guitar yes...like Powerless/Iridescent, no.
I don't know what to expect really, but I'm excited as fuck for it. Hopefully the guitar isn't as loud and annoying as I'LL BE GONE.
Edit: I posted this on the Linkin Park subreddit, I hope you don't mind.
If I was in Derek's shoes, you couldn't pay me enough to do that.
i hope its not like UIB
i like the descriptions for Until It's Gone and Wastelands, I'm pumped for those musically, this album is gonna rock but lyrically, feels generic unless they can prove me wrong big time. i need to hear it for myself. overall, theres just so much to look forward to XD
Derek, could you if let us know out of the 6 songs you listened to how many besides "Keys To The Kingdom" involved Chester screaming?
Separate names with a comma.
