Am I the only one that doesn't want the new album that soon? I still haven't fully explored ATS properly. And by that I mean knowing every single sound that appears there... I wanna get sick of it, know what I mean?
But I guess realistically it will be out in late 2012/early 2013 so, yeah:awesome:

I'm sorry but that doesn't make much sense to me. If you're a fan of the band and you knew that they had a bunch of quality songs (enough to make an album) why wouldn't you want it released ASAP? It's not like ATS will go away when Album 5 comes out, haha.

And I don't know about you but 18+ months is plenty of time for me to "fully explore" a 9 song album

You could always just listen to ATS after the album comes out.

I do hope it comes out early 2012, and I do hope a new marketing campaign is launched for it. No LP album launch is complete without that epic mindboggling "WTF R U DOIN SHINODA?" marketing campaign. Even if it's a just the words LP5 that is hard to figure out or another batch of trading cards or a picture of Rob planking on a timpani in the midst of foggy static. That I will decode.

Or unless that marketing campaign begins somewhere around Rolling Stone. :kappa:

Well, if they are serious about a new album next year I think the tour in September might be their last set of shows until the next album. It's just a guess, so don't quote me on it. They could pull another set of shows out of nowhere in the next few months if they want. Linkin Park can be random sometimes. :p

    ZOMG! Morez pwer corrrds!!11!1!1111!!

I do reckon LP talking about wanting to release more music sooner. I think they said that during the launch of LPUX. I was looking to 2012 as when the next release will be, um, released.

What I'm happy about is how Linkin Park seem to slowly be removing the word "pain" from their lyrical vocabulary. Meteora used the word pain a staggering 13 times. Minutes to Midnight only had it 2 times, and ATS once (I'm not including when a pre-chorus is repeated). This probably explains why MTM and ATS are so lyrically superior to Meteora .

Linkin Park have set the bar then... The word pain will not be used in the next album... Instead it'll be time to Heal and Feel something REAL! :awesome:
