Well.... it's the MTV VIDEO music awards. And BTH is obviously a different and unique video. I was hanging out on the msg board over there and i'm getting a couple responses that people think that BTH should win video of the year. However, no one was sure if BTH was released early enough to make the cut date for the VMAs. But i'm pretty sure it made it cuz they are in the PreNomination for Viewer's Choice. Do you think they have a chance in any of the categories? I will be satisfied if all they win is the Best Rock Video. It would be their 3rd year in a row! "Crawling" and "Somewhere I Belong". However they do deserve nominations for "Best Group Video", "Video of the Year", and "Best Direction". It's rumored that the nominees and performers and host will be announced this Friday... but it is sure to be announced by this upcoming Tuesday. SpikezLP
"In The End" and "Somewhere I Belong"* Personally, I think "My Immortal" and "The Reason" will be big contenders.
it'll be interesting to see who wins. IMO I don't think The Reason will be that much of a competition, because it's not that unique, but My Immortal might be a tough competetor but I like both LP and Evanescence. Anyway, good luck to LP.
Well, "Float On" by Modest Mouse has been getting MAJOR airplay on MTV...And even though I am not to found of the song, the video is pretty cool.
I know exactly what you mean. But i guess technically if Linkin Park is a "rock" band then BTH is a "rock" song.

so if 50 cent started playing guitar solo's in his songs then started screeming and got joey jordison to play drums for him, that would still be a rap song, I dont think so. BTH is a rock song though.

No. Not "No" as in "I think that would count as a rock song", I mean "No" as in "I contest the possibility of that ever happening. Ever."
