It's apparent from the "Meeting Of A Thousand Suns" documentary that Linkin Park have all moved away from each other creatively :/ It hurts that the album ended up being so average after this long wait, I actually believed for a second today that Linkin Park made it as a joke, it takes so unbelievably long for anything to happen during the songs and it is hard to play any of it next to any other music without it sounding bad; I think it is time that the band all went and did their own thing, because it's not the Nu-metal Linkin Park I want back, the "old" LP or whatever people call them, I just want them to be good again, I want the team back who made classic hits like Breaking The Habit, In The End and Somewhere I Belong.

Don't barrage me with criticism but I know a lot of you realise this too, it is very sad writing this but somebody needed to say it.

Anyone who agrees or disagrees please answer the poll, it will be interesting to see who stands with me on this, or if I have a really different opinion to others.

    This.
It will be heartbreaking if LP split! Yes, maybe they should get closer but they shouldn't leave and do there own things.
I would rather them stay together and make music which only some people like than split and do separate things.

I disagree, this album is just amazing for me.
Albums don't need exceptionally standout songs (hits) to be good, that's only my opinion.

TRY TO CATCH UP MOTHA FUCKA!

First off, the album is amazing.

Second, if you REALLY watched and listened to the documentary, you would see that everyone was INTO the new sound. Their new stuff. The issue was management. The label. Everyone trying to tell them what to do.

Your post has no legs to stand on, your argument is invalid.

If Chester ever leaves the band for good to join that stupid Dead By Sunrise band permanently, I am going to blow a gasket.

Wow, so let me get this straight.

You think the band should split up, because they aren't making the music YOU want? Who the hell made you king? You also said you wanted them to get back making "hits"?? You want them to be some super-mainstream-minded band again?

You said you just watched Meeting of ATS. Did you not hear Chester at the end? The band is finally, FINALLY saying fuck making the music the media wants, and especially saying fuck making music the label wants, and you think this is the time the band should break up???

    Completely disagree.
You are just like all the other "haters" of the new album, you want Linkin Park to go back to their old sound or they shouldn't make any more music. I think there old music was good too, but I know they have done enough of that now and are moving in a different direction, and much more mature direction. Watch the Making of Minutes to Midnight DVD again, they got sick of their old music and now are moving on.
    Get over it.

The new album is their best album. It's sad you don't like it, but I can understand what you mean. When MTM got out, I hated it and I needed to voice my opinion. But I certainly understand more now the people telling me that I was wrong and that the album was great, cause it's like i've switched places. That's a learning lesson for me.

If anything from what I saw on the documentary, they became closer as a band during the frustration they went through.
I felt the album was a complete success, and as far as I am concerned, it is more creative than anything they have done in the past, even than Hybrid Theory.
Last time I checked, Linkin Park doesn't own a user manual entitled "What Songs Metaphorica Wants Linkin Park To Make." They are never going back to their old style, as Mike so "delicately" put it in When They Come For Me. So you can kindly forget about them ever making hits like Breaking the Habit, In The End, and Somewhere I Belong.
I think that its pretty clear, that if you make statements like the ones you did above, then you should expect a lot of criticism. If you don't want that kind of attention, then don't post it on the internet.
    Will do.

Well, if anything, the Easter Bunny accepts Linkin Park for who they are now, unlike Santa Claus. That fat bastard :fatbastard:
