they were the only group i cheered for when i found out they had won but did they perform in the beginning? i missed the first 30 minutes of it and i didnt get to see.

[/b][/quote] Metallica's stuff sucks, so LP winning isn't that big of a defeat. If St. Anger showed any sign of talent, they would have one. Not dissing on LP or anything, but of course they'll win when their main competition's music is so crappy, a band in high school with a McDonalds paycheck as a budget, old equiment and a basement to record in would sound better than St. Anger. The song Frantic is a good example of the crap on the CD. It has no rhythm or beat to it, just Lars banging on metal trashcans and their guitarist playing random chords. Sounds like ####, so of couse LP will win
Yeah I was just gonna say that. Yeah to me St.Anger sux. Mettalica is an 'okay' band to me but I heard they're music before and they have DEFINENTLY done better. I wasn't even suprised that they lost.

The new Metallica songs mean nothing (they heavily relied on the good ole' **** word) and the guitar is far beyond my exceptations for such a band. They tried to get into that nu-metal stuff (wich I don't belive LP is part of) but that sucked. Anyway this award is well deserved, the SIB video is very different from what we're used to see, and that's how things should always be. Congrats LP . P.-S. What is the next music awards show?
