Well, 4 milion copies in US..but is known the number of sold worldwide?

 

Yeah, the world sale no., I wanna know too. Can anyone who knows about this post it here?
Also, I think after the release of LFY and BTH, the sale of the album will keep coming as more and more people find out that how good LP's music are, they will buy the album and listen to rest of the songs in the album.

Its hard to not release this many singles of an album like meteora All of the tracks could well be a single in my opinion. What would you rather have...... a lot of not so great albums by LP (with not so many singles off each individual album) or some great LP albums (with lots of singles)? i know what i would prefer. Plus the fact that LP commit to playing a hell of a lot of live shows, they must find it hard to come up with new ideas for future projects. So just drop this whole thing about LP releasing far too many singles off one album. (not just aimed at you RX8LP) JJ

 

Wow, that's cool . When you look at the other bands that get certifications, it took them a lot of time compared to LP .

yeh i no wat ure saying.
But meteora doesnt need all these singles.
They should have stopped at FTI and made it an international single.
So far we have had SIB, Faint, Numb, FTI
And everyone was like ok so FTI is gonna be the last single surely...no more.

Now we have 2 more singles....
Lying From You and BTH on the radios at the same time????
thas 6 songs that have been released by meteora on the one album that has only 11 songs????
Isnt this gonna discourage ppl on buying the album...they be like "hell ive already heard half the album its not worth buying anymore"
might as well download the rest of the songs......lol probably be quicker too since they dont go for too long.

I think they might as well release the whole album and make history or something...lol

What's the big deal about how many singles are released off Meteora? So far we've only had SIB, Faint and Numb as global singles, FTI was officially a non-american single and in the same vein I don't think Lying From You is going to be released as a radio-single anywhere else except the States (but correct me if I'm wrong.) When BTH comes out, that'll be four global singles and I suspect the last of the lot. Hardly a glutton of singles now is it?

Back to the original subject of the thread, I'd say 4 times platinum in 12 months of release is pretty good going by anyone standards. Big well done to LP.

And last I heard/read, Meteora had sold a little over 8 million worldwide but that's not written in concrete.
