Lostprophets drummer Ilan Rubin has announced he will quit the band at the start of 2009 to join Nine Inch Nails.
eh whatever. if it has to do with nine inch nails, that's where it goes. that's why it's the official thread. i see your point though, i guess. =/
You missed the best part of the bulletin I tried to bold all the NIN references this time. I'm guessing I missed one or two though.
You should unbold "sometimes" and just leave "love is not enough", but, yeah. Proof of NIN's genius right there.
Thanks. I think whoever posted the bulletin/blog actually put the NIN references in italics so I probably could have just gone back and copied that come to think of it, haha.
That was the same reason I was this close to posting the story, but then I didn't want to hurt the NIN kids feelings
Well, you need a thread for the Lostprophets side of this matter. So, yeah. I was referring to the note as an entirety as a testament to the prominence of NIN (sorry for misleading) and I was not being sarcastic.
Yeah this isn't just about NIN is it? It's about Lostprophets aswell. There's no point to be made, it's just common sense that people who aren't interested in NIN but are interested in Lostprophets would appreciate this thread.
Well if this is going to be a lostprophets thread then why are we talking about nin? i like lostprophets. Their first album is their best, i didn't even bother listening to their newest one. All the singles sounded like shit. Hopefully they have lots of those cool outros their dj guy does, on the new album.
I think this is a bad idea. I think he should've stuck with Lostprophets. Nine Inch Nails goes through performers like some friends of mine go through cigarettes.
I'd like to see the interludes return but I don't think that will happen under Bob Rock. Who knows though.
At least he'll get a good name for himself. Then he can go off and i dunno... join Marilyn Manson or Rob Zombie lol
lately, the recording process isn't just Trent. Finck did guitar, and I believe JMJ and Freese did some bass and drums, respectively, on the "The Slip". They might have worked on "Ghosts", I'm not sure though. But they'll be on tour for the better part of 2009, apparently. So he's got a nice, steady job until touring ends. JMJ said there's some big news coming, so maybe it's a new album, and then Ilan might get some studio time.
Because that's still relevant to the topic at hand. This thread is about Ilan Rubin leaving Lostprophets and joining NIN so the discussion could go both ways in that respect. But this thread is Lostprophets news, is what I mean.
