Hey guys, I just found out that Linkin Park will be coming to Vancouver on September 4th. I'm real excited and from http://lptix.com/events/ it says that LP Underground members get first crack at tickets! So I was curious, how many of you are currently members of LP Underground and how long did it take for you to get access to presales? Do you have to be a LP Underground member for more than a month or so before having early access to presales? Because I'm thinking about buying their $25/yr LP Underground basic package and have access to the earliest presale to purchase a few tickets for myself and 2 friends. Would you guys recommend this at all or would you just wait til the Public sale? Thanks!
I recommend it. There is no set time for how long you need to be a member for. The earlier you sign up, the more you'll be aquainted with the LPU. Oh yeah, and welcome to the LPA!
Thanks for the quick reply and warm welcome! I'm debating if I should or not lol how many tickets are you able to buy with the presale code and from the past experiences, how are the presale tickets? Are they VERY good seats? Row 1-5?
If you get the option for pit tickets, in the words of Emperor Palpatine, "Do not hesitate, show no mercy." Snag those. That is the standing room only right in front of the stage. It gets crazy in there, but you haven't lived if you haven't done a pit in a concert. Unless you want to sit, those will be available. Every ticket that's still available will be optional for you to purchase.
In the past, I've seen the LPU limit at 4. They are not gonna be nosebleed seats, but I've been like 7 rows from the front. I have no reason to not think it's 4. Of course, this was a few years ago and the times are always a-changing. Pit tickets at Mountain View are ass. Might not apply to other venues, but Mountain View goers beware, the pit is behind the seats and the sound and view is crap.
Thanks for the replies so far! I have a few more questions Are their any added benefits in becoming an official LPU member? From what the other poster said on another forum, tickets to the general public is usually better? That doesn't make sense since I would think LPU members get first dibs on the BEST seats possible, that sucks if you don't..lol And are tickets cheaper on LPU(presale) than regular price at TicketMaster or are they the same price? How does the Meet&Greet work and what exactly are my odds of a M&G? From what I can see, the only benefit is being able to do a M&G with them but if the chances of a M&G are slim than, might be better to just buy it off TM? http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/1100488D7F2C5205?artistid=703831&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=60 It only saids "Incubus fans presale" and doesn't say Linkin Park fans presale. Did we get shafted or it doesn't usually say that? And if the Arena is as it shows, would getting pit tickets be better? I'm guessing GA = Pit? Thanks!
Alright, where to begin... Added benefits include video chats with the band, exclusive downloads(supposedly coming soon), members only website that includes a forum and a chat room. Depending on what tier you choose, you can get a care package with a ton of cool LPU exclusive items. There are monthly contest give aways. A members only store. There is so much more that I can't think of right now... I know 60 bucks seems like a lot of money, but I think it is entirely worth it. You can buy any ticket that is available to the general public (while supplies last.) Depending on if they have Livenation doing the presale tickets, they are cheaper than ticketrapeyourasswithservicechargesmaster. Meet and greets work by first going to the website and clicking "meet and greet" on the show that you are attending. Sometime before the show, you will be notified by email or text your M&G information. I believe M&G's with this tour allows you early access into the venue. There is usually a meeting place at the show, they will tell you where it is in your confirmation email, and you go there to check in and get your pass. Then, the rest is history. They bring you in a line and you meet the band. Bring something to get signed! Your chances of getting in on a meet and greet entirely depends on how many LPUers are attending the show and put in for a M&G. The LPU's presale is most likely hosted through the LPU website, hence why TM isn't showing it. That prevents LPUers giving out a code and the exclusive presale becomes less exclusive. GA is Pit tickets. If the GA is shown right in front of the stage, that is the pit. Awesome place to be at a show. Awesome energy. I hope that helps!
Seats in front of the band? Fuck that shit man! STAND LIKE MAN AND BEAR THE PAIN OF THE CIRCLE OF DEATH IN THE PIT
That post actually helped A LOT. Thanks so much! I was actually leaning towards the $25 package instead of $60 lol and spend the rest of the money purchasing their new Album haha So all concerts have M&G's? That's good, I was thinking only select concerts have M&G's and I've been browsing LPU as well and they said if you get picked for a M&G, you CAN'T bring a friend with you? It's only you? That kinda sucks to ditch your friend lol :/ Just to clarify, LPU presale tickets are cheaper than TM's? (Yes I hate TM, they jack up the prices like crazy and tack on so many useless and added fees.. ) One more thing, judging from the TM link I provided, if that's the LP concert layout, GA aka Pit in the middle seems like a good spot? The other posters experience about the pit being behind the seats is making me a bit paranoid lol Thank you once again! Not sure if this was directed at me or not lol but I've already cleared it up earlier, it's just a habit of saying seats. Been to too many hockey games and we usually call them seats but I know what you mean. I don't plan on sitting at all during the concert
Sorry forgot to add, so as a LPU member, we have early entry into the show, so what if I have a friend coming with me? (Bought my ticket and her ticket at the same time using my LPU account) can I bring her in for Early Entry? She probably won't be able to meet the band but would she be able to enter with me early?
For the upcoming tour, you can buy up to 4 pre-sale tickets. If you have not received your LPU 11 laminate and are chosen for a Meet & Greet/or want Early Entry, please remember to bring along your identification card. You may be allowed to bring in a friend for early entry (not confirmed) but certainly not for the Meet & Greet. It's not about ditching your friend, if everyone brings 1 friend in, where will they put the rest of the LPUers? If you want the goodies then pay to get the goodies, simple. Being a LPU member does not only entitle you to Meet & Greets, you also can get entry to watch Linkin Park rehearse for the Projekt Revolution Tour, participate in MV like Faint, movie premieres (E.g. Transformers) and much much more. (LPU Video chats with members of LP!) For the $25 LPU package, you need to pay additional fees if you wish to go for a LPU summit but for the $60 one, you won't need to, it will be free entry. Do you have anymore questions?
Thanks for the reply! What exactly are the differences between $25 LPU and $60 LPU? From what I can tell it's tshirts and LPU Summit? What exactly are LPU Summits? I'm in Vancouver, Canada and I haven't heard anything regarding a LPU Summit etc. And if I purchase the packages, whether it be $25 or $60, would I have instant presale access or how long do I have to wait til my name is added as a LPU member? It says delivery is 6-8 weeks, would I have to wait 6-8 weeks to be a full member and get presale access? Or will I be a full fledged member with all the benefits within like 48 hours and my tshirts/lanyards will be arriving in 6-8 weeks? Thanks again!
You are a member immediately after registration. Tickets may or may not be cheaper than the public sale. What ever pass you get, doesn't exactly matter. I'm sure they will have a dated pass at the venue. The best way I can answer some of your questions is with some of my videos. Here is an example of the $60 LPU care package and everything I got in it. LPU Summits are a rare occurance. They are an all day event at the venue. There has only been 4 of them. Here is A summary of my LPU Summit Experience: Some video from the summit: We got to see the stage getting assembled: We got to walk accross the stage: We got a soundcheck which was awesome because it was like sitting in on one of Linkin Park's band practices: Also, first dibs at a place in the pit.
