I think their core song is one step closer. Why? -Fans go nuts for it at concerts -A non-fan would atleast know the chorus to it - my friend was over at my place, and i was playing LP and he asked, "who's this" and I said, "Oh, linkin park" and then he said "Oh, I really only know the song that goes like.... everthing you say to me...". -In an interview chester said that he can see the crowds behaviour change when the opening gutair starts to one step closer. If you disagree, tell me what you think LP's core song is and why.
i think i would have to agree - it was their first single and it certainly has an impact with the crowd when its played. however if linkin park didnt play songs like papercut, points, crawling, in the end, a place for my head, somewhere i belong, lying from you, faint, breaking the habit, from the inside and numb the concert would be lacking compared to others they have done. i think when linkin park come to tour after they release their next album they will have to drop a few tracks i mentioned their, and replace them with newer ones. it will come the the stage where they will have to many hits to play at one show...
no its crawling. it was the best single off their album. and people recokgnize that one way better than one step closer. i agree when people hear one step closer the do go nutz (and i mean nutz) but more of a majority recokgnize crawlings beggining, adn they all start to scream and cheer.
I agree, in the end is recognised even by people who dont usually listen to lp and EVERYONE knows the chorus. It is also a crowd favourite, for example at rock am ring week 04 when the crowd were singin ahead of chester on ''i put my trust in you'' that was amazin.
hmm now that u mention when they bring out a new album they will have to drop a few songs at concerts. but have u noticed lp usally have the same or very similar song line ups in concerts? Begining is usally - somewhere i belong, lying from you, papercut, points Middle - Faint, runaway, by myslef, with you and sometimes and one (when they do play it), numb Conclusion - Crawling, In The End, place for my head, one step closer I dont know where they could fit these tracks in. maybe drop a few unreleased songs, like, uhh, dont stay (that didnt sound too good live), runaway, and maybe even a place for my head. by the way, its my bday today
i'll say -in the end-as the most famous -one step closer-as the closing one,and people go crazy when they hear it -crawling-often more sang by the crowd, than the band itself
In The End because both the Hip-Hop and the Rock (and to an extent the pop) communities loved the song when it first came out,it was their highest muisic chart entry and everyone knows who LP are because of it.
:wth: Every fan sings with a song, but sometimes Chester just lets the crowd sings. He could do that Faint or any other song so that doesnt make sense
in the end its the most sucsessfull linkin park song and its got the best linkin park filmclip and the first linkin park song i herd was in the end and one step closer then crawling http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v372/Sha...aydo/roblit.gif
In the end is the song that got many fans listening and buy LP's records but i think Numb is becoming really popular live to... crawling and one step closer are definitly also core songs
When people hear -- In The End they know its Linkin Park Now he same has come true for NUMB due to it being a big hit...
