Following up from the first LPTV episode of this current series, Linkin Park have now uploaded a second LPTV episode. This one gives us a look at the first day of shooting for the "Emptiness Machine" music video, which was directed by none other than Linkin Park band member Joe Hahn. The footage shows the Linkin Park members having their bodies scanned to create 3D models. The resulting models are eventually mapped to data from motion capture performances, and further manipulated from there to produce the dazzling visual effects seen in the final video. Hahn is then seen back in his element and doing what he does best: directing the other band members to create those performance motion shots just like old times. All 6 of them seem to be getting on so well with each other. It’s great to see. Long may it last! Love these little videos that give us fans a glimpse into the ‘LP’ bubble.
Honestly it's so good to see him back there. I love how he takes the lead role and how he feels so comfortable doing so. I agree. They do seem to have fun together and they get along amazingly. Cant wait to see more behind the scenes!
It's so cool to here the hear the raw footage of Emily filming for the music video. It should go without saying at this point, but man does she have a set of pipes.
So refreshing, the joy on their faces and their sheer excitement fills my heart. Especially from Joe. In past years we've seen him work and do what he loves, but he always seemed a bit quiet, focused. Right now he's shining so bright like he's over the moon and it's so contagious. Can't wait for the next part.
