Obviously a promotion like this is pointless because whether they email the download links or allow us to download it straight to the phone, it's gonna be on the internet by 12:05.

I fucking hate this trend of minimalistic artwork. Comes off as so pretentious!

 

^Honestly, what bothers me the most is that those letters aren't in the middle of their fields.

RICK RUBIN DIDN’T ACTUALLY PRODUCE ANYTHING ON JAY-Z’S ‘MAGNA CARTA HOLY GRAIL’

Despite Rick Rubin’s presence in nearly all the commercials for Jay-Z‘s Magna Carta Holy Grail, the awesomely bearded living legend didn’t actually do anything on the album. Let me repeat that: Rick Rubin didn’t do anything on Hov’s new record. According to a spokesman who talked to XXL, Rubin was just in the studio when they were shooting those videos. He was there at the request of Hov, who wanted Rubin to hear how MCHG was coming along.

All that being said, at least we get this out of it:

Looks like Jay-Z will become the first artist in years to officially break a million sales in the first week.

 

Rick Rubin's (lack of) involvement on the album was never a mystery.

So many gray-colored cover art these days, it's insane haha.

I kinda like this one, though.

 

Haha what a massive improvement, I really like it. Maybe I'll check out the album too. Never liked him generally but I'll give the new album a chance.

 

The fake one was from Amazon, we had reasons to believe it's real.
