What if this song is A Line In The Sand? Mike sings on that song. 12. A Line In The Sand - This is LP giving it everything they have got musically, vocally, and sonically. It starts out like an ATS song with surging bass and keys over Mike singing softly and builds into a shredding rock epic. It was faster than I expected when it kicked in. It rocks HARD, and leaves you with the feeling of "I WANT MORE OF THIS SONG!!!" Couldn't make out intricate things, but there was ALOT going on in this song. Rest assured it is not a slow closer AT ALL. After the heavy beating of this song it flows into the same soft Mike singing to close. The band referred to this song as the odyssey. I just want to believe that this song is on THP, cause it's AWESOME!
The beginning of the trailer didn't have me all that hooked to be honest, but by the end it looked pretty interesting. It appears as though the characters go through transformations, be it by drugs, or the effects of the Mall. I have questions, and only watching it will give me the answers. As for the song, to be clear before I say anything else, I want to say I mostly liked it. (For the little that we heard) However, I'm a bit surprised so many are saying how they are looking forward more to this song than THP ...It seems like for years people have wanted a more aggressive album, and we finally seem to be getting that, and yet a higher pitched (TBH a basically artificial vocal take; Mike could never do this live well without cracking) artificial slow song is what people want? Not only that it's a bit "coo-ey" Nothing wrong with the song per-say, I'm just surprised. If this is what Mike was playing around with in the Demo's, I'm really glad they didn't keep going that direction, if more than one song was going to have that flavor.
These are the lyrics I could hear: Well my sun, it won't shine It won't light up the back of my mind And these fires, they won't burn Except to blacken the memories I've earned And these walls are so thin But they keep on holding me in 'Cause I've pushed and I know That there's nowhere left to go 'Cause it goes 'Cause it goes
Just because its in the trailer, doesn't count out the possibility that it is indeed A Line in the Sand. I doubt it is though.
Brad and Rob though... What happened? I'm guessing not a lot of guitar or actual drums will be on the soundtrack but still...
The song sounds decent so far but it's pretty.. i don't think i'm allowed to say the word so i'll just post a pic I personally prefer more #visceral music. The word i was looking for is obviously sweet. like lollipop.
This sounds absolutely great! But the timing of it is...really bad? I mean, this is moody electronic-driven music with Mike singing (if that's him). This is EXACTLY what a lot of people here are fapping to. And you release this trailer 3 weeks before releasing an heavy guitar-driven record, which is the opposite of what people here want? Come on, now the amount of "Soundtrack will shit ont THP all day" will be multiplied by 1000. That's killing my vibe man. Oh well... At least you'll have that.
Alec Pure may be scoring the soundtrack together with LP, not necessarily THIS song. Probably not from THP, but, who knows? We all know by the reviews that Mike sings on A Line In The Sand
Those who are saying they're more excited for this than THP, what are your reasons? I'm not stepping on anyone's opinion, I'm just curious. Do you guys prefer this softer sound? Is it because Mike is singing?
