Tom Holland's current look. Seems he's about set for Peter Parker http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/tom-holland-is-now-rocking-the-ultimate-spider-man-haircut
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mads Mikkelson is "on board" for Doctor Strange, though it remains to be seen if that means he's been cast or is simply in the running for a role.
RDJ and Chris Evans just debuted the first teaser for Civil War and it is HYPE!
I'd like to point out that this trailer coincides with descriptions of the trailer that was shown at D23 earlier this year. So this isn't even a new trailer. It's likely we'll get a full-on "real" trailer some time soon, especially if the rumors that it's going to be attached to The Force Awakens end up being true; we'll see the trailer on the internet before then.
I really love how the trailer makes a point that this is still Captain America's story. Many people on the internet have been crying how this is basically going to be Avengers 2.5, which I always tried to shoot down. You can have a massive supporting cast, while still having a main character successfully. While I never expected them to reveal Spider-Man yet, I'm suprised they didn't even tease him. Oh well. Looks like they'll be holding him really close to their chest, like they did with Vision. Not necessarily. While parts of it do match the description, it does differ. The D23 has Ant-Man scenes, different Avengers vs. Avengers fight scenes, etc. It's basically the same in concept though. I'M SO HYPED RIGHT NOW. Although I'll be surprised if they actually followed some beats from the original storyline other than the concept itself.
I'm not a fan though of how monochrome/color-less this movie looks so far. Some characters are indistinguishable in some of the scenes.
Really? Lots of people on r/marvelstudios are pointing out it's the same trailer. That's why I said it was the same one. I guess they're wrong, apparently. I never actually read the description of the D23 trailer myself. I disagree. I think it looks badass and it's a great comic-to-screen translation. It looks very modern, and definitely looks like Stark might've made it for him. The Winter Soldier was the same way. I'm hoping the final movie isn't so...bland looking. But that might just be the style the Russos were going for. I think this is definitely going to be the darkest MCU movie yet.
Wow really? Probably the first person I'm hearing say that. It looks pretty much exactly like the comic book version.
I think that's a Marvel Studios-wide problem. Most of the MCU end up using bland coloring or typical shots, which kinda reinforces the grittiness of it all, but it would help immensely if they started experimenting with cinematography. The only MCU related media that used this was Agent Carter and some episodes of Daredevil. There's nothing wrong with being stylish and dark at the same time. This video kinda sums up my thoughts on it (It uses Guardians as an example)
