Message 3 - The Catalyst /// August 2

This was the best and most rewarding puzzle I think this was somehow connected with the Shinoda Simpson images on Facebook (you know, Mike's yellow skin)

 

These messages are getting easier and easier! Good thing that we now know "The Catalyst" will be the title of the single. And if you didn't already know... the date August 2nd was leaked almost a week ago by someone at WB.

 

Donno if anyone thought of it, but The Catalyst is a club in Santa Cruz, CA, a little up the Coast from where I live. They don't have an LP show listed for Aug 2, but then again, nothing is listed for Aug 2, so maybe its a hidden show or something. Also, I photoshopped (i know, not a word) the pic and from what I could figure out, the acronym on the persons info is GRI which is a Real Estate certification firm. I also think it just says "resident's" as opposed to president's as many people have thought, simply because there is too much space between the r and where the P should be for it to have been crossed out at that angle of the pen stroke, which is also why I think it may be irrelevant. Hope this helps the search for truth!

Yeah, think about "The Faint" or "The Papercut"

 

Yeah. There is nothing in the message saying what exactly "The Catalyst" is. I could see Mike letting us assume it's a new single, then throwing us all for a loop with something else entirely.

 

That would be extremely evil.

But what about the last message? It was simply "The Catalyst", although a lot of people though there could be more. So we shouldn't overthink this...instead we should celebrate!

 

logicaly , CATALYST is the Lead Single for the Forth LINKIN PARK album .....
I hardly see Mike messaging for 2times .... about a Secret Event on a ''The Catalyst'' Club ....

Those are a bit different though. Faint was a working title that stuck, and to me The Papercut kind of implies a song that's specifically about a papercut... which is just a little bit melodramatic considering.

I think the article is there for a reason. It's THE Catalyst, not a catalyst.

 

I'm happy with The Catalyst beeing the title of the 1st single.

Can someone tell me in which context the first message stood with latter ones?
It was referring to the fact, that more messages will come but beside that, something more?`

I can really think of the idea that the album title will be "A Thousand Suns".
Seems an epic and interesting title.
Who cares about similar Album/song titles from 30STM etc.

So it seems like "The Catalyst" will be the lead single. The only question is, were those lyrics in message 2 part of the Catalyst's lyrics or they were from another song of the album?

 

Either way, I can't wait to hear them (if they are indeed lyrics) over music.
