I've seen a few posts on here stating that the band is using microsoft kinect on stage..Do you think it's apart of the visuals and video that plays during their set??? I cant really think of any other use for the technology
I can confirm that Linkin Park had a Kinect unit on-stage (down-stage-right) when they played Calgary X-Fest Sept. 1, although I don't know what it was being used for.
The visuals they had in the back were definitely from using Kinect sensors on stage. I believe Ghost Town set them up for them.
They used FLIR visuals on the screen. Pretty cool shit. Mr. Hahn gave the First Midwest Bank Amplitheater the bird while playing TINFOIL through the FLIR setting of the camera.
If you want more information about the Kinect setup that Ghost Town Media helped implement for the tour, check out these posts on their Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=351615321574464 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=351614724907857
Here's a good example, even though the "camera man" panned over before Joe flipped the bird... Watch the screen behind the band.
