Chester on vocals with Mike standing awkwardly in the upper right-hand corner doing occasional back-up vocals.

Openly stating that you can recreate Burn it Down in 5 minutes on a $10 piece of software doesn't exactly speak volumes about your creativity, Mike...

Someone's guitar is HORRENDOUSLY out of tune on that one. Yikes.

yea because the price of something therefore determines its quality. asinine comment.

Asinine? No, asinine would be attributing my words to something I wasn't even talking about. I'm talking about how unoriginal it makes the song Burn it Down seem if you can recreate it in a DAW in 5 minutes, genius. I wasn't even saying anything about the software.

But hey, if you want to play that game, Stagelight is supposed to be "beginner's software," a PC equivalent/competitor to Apple's Garageband software - something you can get into with no prior music recording experience. That doesn't make it poor quality by any means, but it's not like this is supposed to be the new industry standard. Nobody would even think to mention Stagelight in the same breath as Pro Tools, Reason, Logic, etc. unless they either A) Have absolutely no clue what they're talking about or B) Think everything that has Mike Shinoda's name associated with it is automatically the greatest thing in the world.

If anything it proves that the software is credible and well worth the money and advanced enough to make a hit song. (Disclaimer: I do not condone Burn it Down as a hit song, one of my most disliked on the album)

To be fair, NIN's Echoplex can be taken in the same light.

    Totally unoriginal.

It doesn't take much for an extremely well known artist to make a 'hit song' anymore. Not saying that BID sucks, but there is some food for thought...

You are correct, and now that I saw Astat's newest post it seems mine may have been unjustified.

I was a bit put off when Mike said that, to be honest.

Mike showed us how he made some of the ATS songs on Pro Tools before, too. This is why I prefer the ''organic'' approach that LP took with MTM. It was all real instruments, no computerized stuff except for synth and stuff.
