Mike Gives Details Regarding ATS & Album Length

    Mike was in the LP Chat just now and gave some minor details regarding ATS. He confirmed that ATS will be 45-50 minutes in length, reiterating "rapping on new album = yes", as well as going on to say that ATS contains "some of the best beats I've / We've ever made, too".     Hm, either the other tracklist times are completely wrong, or this album is full of interludes...

    Hmm...Interesting. I'm thinking there are 2-3 instrumentals in the album. Either way I believe in quality over quantity.

    Well thats a bummer. Kind of a day killer, but i'm sure their album will rock, I guess. 2-3 minute songs is a bit ridiculous though..

    It's LP's longest album to date. No complaints here.

    This is why im thinking that the catalyst isnt acutally almost 6 min long, cause no one has officially confirmed about the length besides the magazine which is not official

    Right on Cookie! We've got songs that are 4-5 minutes in length and some that are the normal 3. I'm okay with that...plus the best beats they've ever written? I've loved Mike's beats in Meteora...YES! I'd say good way to end of the boring day

    Here we go: 6 songs=about 27 min (according to French Article). Let's say ATS is 50 Min long. Now we have 9 songs with 23 min left. If we say 6 of the last 9 are about 3 30, that would be 21 more minutes leaving only 2 minutes for the last 3 songs. I'm beginning to think we may have another "Foreword" on our hands with the Requiem. With the 6 songs that I said could be 3 30, a few of those could be under 3 minutes. But that's fine because Bleed it Out, Faint, One Step Closer, A Place For my Head, Runaway and some more LP songs are under or right at 3 min. All of those are great songs! I think it's all good guys. As the Cookie Monster said, it's the longest LP album to date!

    The french article could very easily be incorrect guys. Yes, Amazon says 5:42 as well...but absolutely nowhere else have those times been confirmed. Nowhere. Even Mike tweeted to dismiss some claims from that record (12 songs when there's actually 15 etc). The Catalyst could very well be shorter than we're believing.

    And even at 45-50 minutes...that's longer than any of the LP records we've heard to date...even Minutes To Midnight. And Midnight was a long album.
