Mike and Paul answered my question which was what was the weirdest thing given to you one :3
10 unheard demos?! F*ck Yeah!! But, we have to be careful, so no one (except Linkin Park ;p) knows how these songs sounds. Anyway, please, no more instrumentals (with exception of a song like Pale) and a little of unknown songs (4 or 5, at least). A demo for WTCFM, Blackout or Victimized are welcome.
Instrumentals are awesome, and demos are just more likely to be them.
We are lucky to get stuff like demos at all. It used to be live versions of Breaking the Habit over and over.
Some people are interested in instrumentals and there's surely more instrumentals in the vault than finished/vocal songs .
Wow, sorry, I just expressed my opinion. I liked a lot of this news and, yes, a like a lot of Linkin Park instrumentals (Pale, Halo, A-Six, Broken Foot...). I just want hear something new in the middle of LPU12 and, of preference, w/ vocals (I always imagine if Halo or A-Six had lyrics). But I'm happy with this, and heppy that we don't get Breaking the Habit live again
YES YES YES SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY
YESSSSSS DO IT DO IT DO IT *fangirls*
Or anything else for that matter.
Yeah, but... What you've been getting is miles ahead of anything any other band ever releases, in terms of demos. Be happy with it even if we get like 7 instrumentals. Because they're LP instrumentals. That never got finished. They never would have been released otherwise. This is something most bands NEVER DO. To complain is to seem self-entitled... I'm sorry, but it does. They're not pulling constant LPU7's, people. They've given us 30 demos over 3 albums that we haven't heard before ((LPU9, 10, and 11.)). Over 3 years. And we're going to be getting another 10 demos. People just don't realise how lucky they are. You may say you have the right to complain, and in all fairness, you do, but it doesn't make you any less self-entitled.
I'm not saying you don't have the right to complain. I'm just saying that, regardless of what we get, you should still be happy that you're even getting it. /endrant
Sorry, you made it sound like you were speaking on behalf of the rest of us ("please no more instrumentals") and making us look entitled, instead of simply stating a preference("I hope there aren't any instrumentals").
EDIT: and also you are a victim of people saying original things, but posting at nearly the exact same time so that it appears that you are being piled upon. *waves fist at Elaine for ninjaing me.*
He didn't answer either of my questions... but anywho, did anyone actually watch the X-Play episode with Linkin Park? I forgot about it. It was on an hour ago.
He says "unheard demos" but I bet you at least 5 will be instrumentals. FUCK YEAH DEMOS, but instrumentals, lol.
They are called "demos" for a reason. When are some people going to get it through their brains that a demo can be a single beat or nonsensical words with a melody to just an instrumental or a "full-blown track"?
I for one am excited for the CD as i always find that one track i can't get enough off whether it be Across the Line, Divided or Soundtrack and Program which is always a bonus besides getting a window into the band's creative work process. And it's really nice of Mike to do this random Q&A with fans over the internet as frequent as he does it.
More ATS demos please!!!
LPU12 and PVD. My life complete .
Mike thinks he's a better rapper than singer? L to the O to the L.
Looks like we found Akira.
He's probably just more confident rapping than singing.
Would you rather have Mike try to sing No Roads Left live again?
Need some more Meteora demo's just to piss minus off.
What Elaine said. Plus I think he's a good rapper. His singing still needs some practice. But it's getting a lot better.. His LT singing was A LOT better than what it did on ATS!
