Hey guys. So I had this idea today where since there are usually 4 finalists for every MMU, why not feature the previous month's winners and runner-ups in the current month, one per week, through Twitter or Facebook. Brand it with a name like Winner Wednesdays or Feature Fridays or something. Each finalist doesn't need their own news thread, just a tweet/facebook update and something along the lines of talking about the track in the previous month's Winners thread. What do you think? Good idea? Bad idea?
We could do with having a single tweet and/or Fbook post announcing the winners with @-mentions after an announcement post here; maybe even additional tweets/wall posts with SoundCloud links. Beyond that ... whatever.
That's pretty much what I'm getting at. Pick a day of the week so that the followers on Twitter and Facebook can expect a tweet or a Facebook update during that day featuring a finalist of the previous month's MMU.
We're looking into making improvements to the site which properly highlight the MMU winners/runners up. With MMU going on hiatus for a little while, this suggestion will also be kept in mind for when it comes back. Thanks!
No problem! I was just thinking that it would help the winners and runner ups get heard, especially around super busy times or a rush of news happens. Sometimes some news stories get brushed under.
