BBC1 is doing alright with the balance of performance and interviews. It can be really bad though. It's not like comic relief which is good where theres more talking than comedy. I don't have any MTV footage on over here, i don;t think

    Exactly.

I don't really think you can say "Live 8 Sucks".
More like "MTV's coverage of Live 8 Sucks." [/b][/quote]
    Done XD.

Yes, because I forgot this is the first Live Aid concert called Live 8.

But yes, putting all the Live Aid concerts together, this is the worst. Actually its not the concert that's bad, its mtv's coverage.

I'm watching it on CTV; the coverage is okay. They focus on the Canadian concerts; the only international ones shown so far are the performances by REM (London), Destiny's Child (Philly), and the Black Eyed Peas (Philly).

There's been Live Aid in 1985, and Live 8 in 2005. Nothing else.

If MTV is really supporting the G8 meeting and the fight against poverty, I wanna know where the money they make off of all the fucking commercials they're showing is gonna go. It wasn't like this with Live Aid, the focus was on the performances, as it rightfully should be. God, I hate MTV.

Jesus Christ how unprofessional can you be? They cut off Linkin Park MID concert. Now I am so furious that I am gonna type up a huge letter to MTV and have people sign it, who's with me?

Not me. I realize the importance of commericals. Eight hours of non-stop coverage would be suicide for MTV. They wouldn't make any money. Good cause or not, MTV is a business.

I now oficially HATE commercials with ALL my heart. Right when LP was going in to perform their second song somewhere I belong, they cut them off to go to a commercial break. Then they came back and they were performing still, then they went to dumb ass Shakira!!!!!!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO pissed off right now!!!!!!!

There are people that not like Linkin Park. MTV doesnt really care about what you like. They're just showing want they want. Big deal.

I'll definitely sign it. I've never enjoyed MTV coverage of anything, whether it is big charity events like Live 8 or their own award shows. They are a business, but there is a fine line between extreme entrepreneurs running a commerical channel to slip in a few million bucks and running a show that actually plays the event. I started watching the show on TV, but was ridiculous, so I went on AOL music to watch. But the fucking connection kept breaking, so I missed probably 5 minutes in total. ;)

So, it's kinda like a petition to MTV to actually play music? Fuck, I'd sign it and I don't even get MTV.

    Thank God.
