Hey Ana...what about the Brad´s solo? In the French magazine they´ve said that for the first time Brad made a solo!
If those times are along the right lines, ten songs that clock in at nearly 50 minutes by themselves isn't bad going.
I just have to get this out of the way there's probably no auto-tune whatsoever in the album. The Catalyst doesn't even have auto-tune. Throughout the entire song there is a Reverb effect and during the verses there is a delay, flanger and a modulation effect on both of Mike and Chesters vocals.
Whoa...... nice read really excited. 30% autotune :\ , or maybe its just the layering thing which mike was talking about in a ustream chat. And aren't there any guitar solo?? I remember phoenix talking about one in a LPTV episode. Looking forward to those sad keyboards and emotional singing
Keeping in mind that it wouldn't be his first solo, considering In Pieces. But yeah, what of that supposed solo?
It's mainly semantics. I think most people know it probably means the vocals are distorted in some way, whether or not they've used auto-tune to do that.
Blech. Autotune. Regardless, I'm extremely stoked for the album. The Catalyst has grown on me, and as such I'm supposing the rest of the album will be an easier pill to swallow. Sounds like they've definitely "re-invented" their sound with this one; awesome.
Yes...for sure!!! But some people in the music world doesn´t think that is an actual solo...maybe because is too simple and don´t require any special ability to do it!!! But...I would like to hear a crazy solo from Brad... it has a solo Ana?
Some parts of that review got me little worried...Mike doing more singing than Chester? Political speeches? :/
Anyone else intrigued by song 7?? When i heard Mike talking about that particular scream of Chester, i thought to myself, that has got to be on one of the heavier songs of the album, and i imagined some kind of really heavy chorus where Chester just lets loose completely. After reading the review however i'm 99% certain this will not be the case! Really curious now, everyone who has described the album has said it's going to shock us, i just need to listen to it now!
