I was just wondering about the name Meteora. Its a set of rock formations in Greece and the name of LP's second studio album. If you could decide what to call LP's second studio album after hearing all the tracks on it, what would you call it and why? post your views here.
i wouldnt call it meteora. i wouldnt know what to call it. i bet its really hard to think of a name that everyone can relate to. meteora is a cool name but iam not sure if it fits with the album. however i like the way LP havnt called their albums after certain tracks. i think track names and album names should be kept different. sorry that didnt answer your question but hey!!
I agree with what you said about the album being called after a track. I think that would spoil the whole experience of listening to the album because if that one song is not good, then it spoils the whole experience of listening to the album. That is such a good thing about LP because they name something that is not linked with any song.
.... You're kind of right about that one... Not that it's a bad thing they used those words a lot... They have also used the word numb quite a bit [e.g- Numb; Easier to Run].
I'd call it 'See how long it takes for the audience to walk out' because it sounds interesting and someone has to find out the answer to this question anyways.
Dont Purchase This Album, Don Gilmore Produced It OR Two Songs On This Album Rhyme Heal And Feel Together, Oh, How Origional We Are
Meteora means sth stands in the sky(sth like that) in Latin... so I think it is a cool name... I would call it Meteora because of that ...
Only name that occured to me is "Session". Couse the track has unique atmosphere, characteristic for whole album.
Nothing to Gain, Everything to Fear Mleh, I don't know. I thought of it while I was listening to "Nobody's Listening"
Come on now, be a little more serious than that. I'm getting tired of all this Don Gilmore bashing. Maybe he doesn't come up with the best lyrics and whatnot, and I agree, Mike probably would make a better producer, but what can we do about it? It's a pretty tough job to produce an album, and I'll bet half of you don't even know what he does. I personally don't know what he changed about Meteora, I don't know what lyrics he substituted with his own, but the band obviously is satisfied with what he does. I'm all for one's opinion, but don't you think you're getting a little immature about it? Anyway, I think Meteora is a good name. I actually don't think I could come up with anything better
