    Hi.

I am running on Windows 7, using a D-Link ADSL DSL-302G (whatever all that is) and have a Linksys WRT350N Wireless router and I am unable to connect to "http://192.168.1.1".
I am trying to access that site so I can open my NAT. I've reset the wireless router, I've disconnected my modem itself and still nothing. I use my default gateway and that doesn't have any of the things in need to open my NAT, can anyone help me?

    Thanks.

This has happened to me before, turns out it was a problem with the router. How old is yours?

Can't say for sure. This has all happened before though.

I usually end up having to get my friend over to fix this, but, I'd rather not bother him today.

    URGH.
Having windows 7 now doesn't make anything easier either.

Yeah, I use a Mac, but a friend of mine with Windows 7 is constantly having problems with it.
If you've had it for about 4-5 years, it's probably a problem with your router. Try resetting the modem again, and if that doesn't work, call your internet provider. They'll probably give you a better answer than I can. :)

I am just cautious doing that because with my internet and stuff, it can just blow up at anytime.
If it helps my IP (I think it is that) is 10.1.1.1, but that doesn't let me do anything I need to.

If your IP is 10.1.1.1, then 198.168.1.1 (this is the router's [aka gateway] config page, you seem like you're unsure) probably isn't the address you're looking for. It's not always 192.168.1.1 hence why you're probably confused. For example, if your IP was 192.168.2.100, then the router page would be 192.168.2.1.

Start > Run > cmd > ipconfig > 'Default Gateway' is the address you're looking for.

if you cannot connect to your router then open internet explorer Options > Advanced tab > click reset and follow instructions, before doing that: right click the network connection icon on the taskbar and click "Diagnose and repair". Also, make sure that you do not have any infections and clear all cookies and temporary internet files.
The most common router user names passwords are: User: "admin" pass: "admin", User: "admin" pass: "password", User: "admin" Pass: "<your isp name>".
