Story time: Um, not so much of a newbie here. I signed up here ages ago, but I'm damned if I can remember my password, or even my username. Thing is, I'm actually listening to Hybrid Theory for the first time in about a year now. Yesterday, I was at home sick, with nothing to do (my mum took the cable for the computer monitor so I couldn't come online), so I dug out my Linkin Park video Years ago, when I was about 10, I was watching Kerrang, waiting for LP videos to come on, when Rammstein appeared on my screen. Since then, I've been a devoted Rammstein fan, but in the past year or 2, some lovely people on the net introduced me to heavier, german music, Tanz-Metal So that's the sort of music I've been listening to for months. One day, out of nowhere, my boyfriend split up with me. I'm well over him now, but at the time, I was extremely upset. It reminded me of the times where I was extremely depressed, oddly enough, when I used to listen to Linkin Park a lot. That was months ago, and I only got round to checking them out again yesterday. Then I put Hybrid Theory on today. I remembered this site, came online to see what LP were up to these days (The Jay-Z collaberation[sp?] kind of killed whatever I liked about LP, I hated it). "With you" started playing a couple of songs ago, and I started crying my eyes out So I signed up on here and poured my memories out into this thread, aren't you people lucky! Um, actually going to introduce myself now. I'm called Lauren, but I prefer to be called Jayne (though any will do). I'm 14, I live in Blackpool, a crappy seaside town in North West England. My hobbies are very simple: Listening to music, reading, learning languages (German and French in school, and I'm learning russian by myself), history and science studies. I feel like such a geek. I should probably explain the screen name. It comes from "Spaceman" by Babylon Zoo (You all know it ). That line always sets me thinking. In another universe, (because it's possible that there are other universes out there, with different laws of science, elements, ect) maybe there is a person, just like Christianitys "Christ", that can do things like turn wine into water and walk on water. Maybe all of the dominant species on another, far distant planet can do stuff like that? I find things like this fascinating. Even though it's highly unlikely I'll get this question answered anytime in the next million years, part of me wants to know, and part of me doesn't, because it's more amazing not knowing. Get me?
