In the line, "What the hell are you waiting for?", does anyone know why Chester doesn't sing that part?

They've shown him recording the part, and Mike (in an interview concerning the album) said something along the lines of not being able to wait to hear Chester singing, "What the hell are you waiting for?"

He does sing that part live. On the actual recording, I'm not sure. If he did, he got really layered out by the original recording of "Encore".

Mike must have meant as far as live performances are concerned.

Hmm yeah, but I've checked the Black Album version to the CC version, and the definitely doesn't sound like Legend on CC...which is why I was wondering why Chester wouldn't just do it on the track as well, since he does it really well in live concerts.

    Clear the air:

John Legend sings the vocals on the original, Black Album, track. It's heavily texturized (at least that's what it sounds like to me) but it's him.

On CC, it's Chester's vocals overlaid on top of the original vocals.

    Live, it's obviously Chester.
