The first time i hated it. The end was extremely repetetive, it didn't had that sound I was looking for, and I thought it was WAY overhyped. And now I'm in love with this song, in fact with the whole album. This album really needs a 4th or 5th listen to really feel it.
You know what, you just had to get used to their new sound. Then you'll find out they didn't just do it to be a boy band, they really meant it. This album is much better than Meteora and just as good as HT . And I'm listening to TLTGYA right now
I wasn't too keen on it the first time I listened to the album, but after a few times through it's definitely grown on me and it's becoming one of my favorite songs on the album.
i really loved the chorus. those words are haunting. the lyrics in the chorus were ... haunting. i really love the song. (gotta say, that chorus was very "evanescence"-ish, somehow.)
This is by far Linkin Park's best song. The best part is at the end when Mike and Chester's voices overlap eachother.
I actually completely loved it the first time I heard it, so powerful and beautiful. Definitely my favorite song on the album and maybe my favorite LP song period.
I don't really like it all that much. And it's not because of the "new" sound, or the fact that it's slower, because I loved Shadow of the Day. I just feel In Pieces owns all over this for best song on the album. The chorus is very haunting though.
Ive listened to it once, and i hate it... but once i get the C.D tommorow and blast through everysong ill probably like it. The first time i heard what i've done i didn't like it now i LOVE it so ill most likely change my mind about it.
I'm loving this song more and more each time. This song is a little too good to listen to all the time though. The vocals are beautiful, but it's kind of a depressing track when it sinks in. I interpret it as someone who is drowning in water and reaching out their hand. They are looking up to you to save them, but nobody seems to care.
You could at least explain yourself? I think this song is wonderful and is Linkin Park's best work to date. I love the sound, the lyrics, the solo, everything. It's just amazing.
yeah i've liked it more and more each time too. it's kind of drawn-out, but i like the first half a lot.
at first i didn't like the acoustic. but eventually after like five listens, it just goes so well with the song. i really like how the samples and the acoustic go together, its really cool and different. then the last half of the song just owns.
How they plan on pulling this song off live with like 3-4 guitar parts and 4 vocal parts at the end of the song, I have no idea.
