This 10th incarnation of Ozzfest is shaping up to best Ozzfest ever with Iron Maiden strongly rumored (true most likely) to co-headline with Ozzy (Black Sabbath probably) with Anthrax (old-school lineup) and Black Label Society and Shadows Fall so far being on the main stage! The second stage has been rumors all around but it looks like some of the bands have been announced. Rob Zombie, The Haunted, Killswitch Engage and Bury Your Dead have been either rumored or confirmed for the tour...the only real real thing I know is that A Dozen Furies, winners of Battle for Ozzfest are the only ones really confirmed! Keep checking http://blabbermouth.com http://theprp.com and http://ozzfest.com for more! Ooh. As I Lay Dying too. Sounds really good, now. I know, Atreyu was on the lineup last year but this year I believe they're on Warped Tour's list.
I would love to go to Warped...but knowing that 3/4 of the bands would open their damn mouths about politics at the show...I don't care anymore (Sorry, but i'm there for the music)
That's how I felt last year when I went, but oh fucking well. If I have to sit through a 2 second political speech in order to rock out to one of my favorite bands live, so be it.
But you're not opposed to go and see Black Sabbath, who last year had videos about George Bush playing while they performed their set? Anyways, Shadows Fall on the main stage, but Rob Zombie on the second stage? What the fuck? Ozzfest 2005 looks shitty this year.
Compare the two over the past year and then come back to me with your theory! Shadows Fall - One of the biggest upcoming bands of the "New American Metal" movement...released an album last year Rob Zombie - Focusing on movies, instead of music My theory...Zombie shouldn't be on Ozzfest
Maybe, but Zombie is a bigger band that Shadows Fall. Let 'em rot on the second stage. "The War Within" or whatever the hell it was called just blew chunks. "The Art Of Balance" was a great metal album though, I don't know what happen.
As I lay Dying and A Dozen Furies both kickass--so it's good their playing. If only Caliban would play... they're a fuckin awsome band. I don't think too many people know about them though. Oh and it would be great if Scarlet played too.
I agree with Casey, Shadows Fall on main stage is pretty strange, honestly I wouldn't want Rob Zombie nor Shadows Fall on main stage...
yeah i really didn like their new album at all. but they arent that bad. and as i lay dying is going to be at Ozzfest...thats awesome. id love to go to ozzfest sometime
I'm desperately hoping that's not the final lineup... I was thinking of going, but with no Lamb of God... I'd still like to see B.L.S., Shadows Fall, KsE, Bury Your Dead, The Haunted, and of course: A Dozen Furies.
On the Ozzfest 2005 Bandpage, Iron Madien isn't listed, but it's going to happen most likely. That leaves one more '???' picture, so maybe Anthrax. Whatever. Other than the 2 unconfirmed main stage bands, that's the final line-up.
