AK if you keep making pointless posts you're going to be warned...not that that up there was a pointless post, but just consider this a pre-emptive warning, alright? And now we're into lent...so then, who's given up what for the next 30-something days? *edits topic to fit new question*
i havent though about giving any think up......i'll try not to stay up to much does that count as one.. o well thats mine...any one else got any?
I don't know much about lent so can anyone please fill me in on it? I never was good at giving things up either.
Lent- the 40 days and 40 nights that Jesus did not have any food or drink. that leads up to Easter, lent ends on Holy Thursday (Thursday before the Easter Bunny comes). Easter is when Jesus got crucified on the cross. But, of course this is the Christian religion, for muslims, Jesus didn't get nailed on the cross, i'm not sure if they practise lent. so for lent, the Christain faith gives up a bad habit, or takes up a good habit for the 40 days and nights that Jesus went without the food or drink. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, the day after 'pancake day' (pancake day is when the pioneers took all of their fatty food and made cakes, so that they wouldn't have it for lent, we just adopted it) i hope that makes sense. :\
