Geez...I really do hope they give their best efforts, I send my sympathy here. I'm glad that your boyfriend is ok, and I hope the best for his father. I couldn't imagine life without my dad. A couple weeks back, 2 kids I've known my entire life died. I was very depressed...but there was only 2 things that help me suffice. My friends and my music. They always work, with me.
