Not talking about Emu's here kids so don't jump on that.

I'm talking running an actual PS2 but using a laptop monitor as the screen. Can it be done. If so, how?

There is a PS2 to VGA converter out there called "VGABOX" but it is only good if you have a computer monitor.

There are LCD monitors out there that will attach to your Ps2 and serve as a mini screen, but it seems that the majority if not all of them are made exclusively for the new Slimline version.

In my findings I haven't found anything that will support a laptop monitor. But if you have a slimline and want a portable PS2 on the go, I recommend going with an attachable LCD screen.

    Hope this helps.

I actually have a LCD monitor that works for the original PS2.

Just letting you know they still make those. I think I got mine though at JCPenney

Mine is actually a Zenith to be exact. Works well, only problem being that it overheats a little after a good 3-4 hours.

Yes..tv capture devices do work, but take it from me..the picture can be really grainy.

I only recommend it for taking screens.
