I don't get why people hate LP doing "poppy" tracks. They've shown a strength in making poppy tracks compared to rock tracks. Maybe I'm just biased towards them. Like for example, "What I've Done" is one of my Top 10 best LP songs, and I thought "Burn It Down" is better than most songs on LT. BID has the most plays out of any song on my iTunes actually.
Man when I first heard that track I was like "wth is this suppossed to be?" , it was so unfamiliar to me I didn't know what to think of it. But it grew on me, I really came to appreciate lyrics too and get the essence of how they fit into the song. Personally, I prefer the last rap verse, which is why I really like the Until It Breaks Demo No.2 - Foot Patrol, those have to be some of the best sounds to back a rap I've heard.
The Chvrches thing is more stupid than sad I think. That's what happens when you blend abrasive comments by Mike with journalism search for big exclusive news : the original comments get misunderstood and a feud is born.
Well their official twitter account retweeted Mike's blog post about it. So I guess everything's cool now?
Big said it increase the complication
If Mike were more offensive in writing lyrics: Wastelands: "Slay em, leave em laying like it's slavery, trade the blacks"
I agree. You know despite this I wouldn't have checked out the Chvrches debut album if it wasn't for this misunderstanding. I actually quite like the music they make.

I heard on the radio last night that Linkin Park will be playing some all american rock show on the 4th. Guests would them, A7X, Rob Zombie, and others. I don't remember the name of th person, but it was being hosted by some older rock star. Any confirmation of this?
